Mobile Email Usage As the prevalence of smartphones has increased over the last decade, it has become progressively easier to do everything from our phones.
This includes sending and receiving emails, as is revealed by the following statistics: In December 2024, 41% of all emails were opened via mobile (imagine how high this percentage is now!). 85% of email users check their emails on a mobile phone but between the ages of 25 and 34, this rises to 90% of users.
Desktop Email Usage Given statistics on mobile email usage, it is unsurprising that the tendency to check our emails on a desktop or laptop is declining.
A study in 2018 showed only 69% of email users check their email using a desktop/laptop This is down from 74% of users in 2017
